Representatives of the EU Election Observation Mission, led by the legal analyst of this mission, Eirini Skouzou, visited today the Office of the Chief Prosecutor, where they were received for a meeting by the National Election Coordinator, the Prosecutor of the Office of the Chief Prosecutor Laura Chicken.

At this meeting, the elections of February 9 were discussed, with a particular focus on the prosecutor’s operational plan for the day of the elections.

The National Coordinator for Elections, Pula, informed those present about the Prosecutor’s commitment to protecting the free right to vote of the citizens of Kosovo in these elections.

“During this meeting, coordination between the Prosecutor’s Offices and the National Coordinator was also discussed regarding all activities of the Prosecutor’s Office that will be taken in the event of a violation of the electoral process, as well as including inter-institutional cooperation within the framework of the cooperation agreement for the electoral process between the Institutions dealing with the administration of elections and the examination of electoral cases.”

“In the meantime, the representatives of the European Union Election Observation Mission informed about the involvement of international observers within this mission, about their role and their distribution throughout the territory of the Republic of Kosovo: said a statement from the State Prosecutor’s Office.
