Albert Krasniqi from Democracy Plus explained that the CEC lasted an average of 21 days in the last four elections to announce the results and 32 days from the date of choice until certification.
“Since the elections on February 9, only 7 days have passed, while a new counting system is implemented for the first time. The political parties who supported these changes were aware that there may be delays in the announcement of the results of the candidates, but at that time this was not a concern for them, ”said Krasniqi.
According to Krasniqi, one of the advantages of counting candidates in municipal centers can be avoiding recovery, which often reached up to 88.5% of the electoral boxes.
“However, it is too early to draw conclusions. After all, the accuracy of the result remains more important than speed,” he said.
