
The National Institute of Public Health of Kosovo has announced that the person affected by monkeypox and all his close contacts have completed the period of isolation and monitoring, thus returning to normality.
On December 26, 2024, the IKShPK detected a case of Mpox. As of January 16, 2025, 21 days have passed since this case was confirmed, and since that day, no other case of monkeypox has been reported or confirmed in Kosovo, Klankosova.tv reports.
“The case with smallpox was discharged from the Infectious Diseases Clinic days ago in good health and with additional health care and behavioral recommendations, while none of the identified contacts of the case showed any signs of infection and all have returned to normal after a period of regular monitoring by IKSHPK,” says the statement from IKSHPK.
