The General Prosecutor’s Office in Gjilan has brought charges for the crime of “serious murder” against the defendants VS and FM, who have been detained since November 12, 2024.
According to the indictment, on November 7, 2024 at around 2:00 p.m. in the street “Mërgimtar e Gjilani” in Gjilan, the defendant VS intentionally took his own life due to a physical conflict two years ago, now the deceased SO, in such a way that he, while getting into the car, came up to him and shot him in the back with a gun, where after he fell to the ground he hit him with the gun, punched and kicked him and then left together with the accused FM the crime scene, while the deceased died from his injuries, reports Klankosova.tv.
“With these actions, the defendant VS committed the crime of ‘aggravated murder’ in accordance with Article 173 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Kosovo (KPRK). In addition, the same person is charged with the crime of “unlawful possession, control or possession of weapons” under Article 366 of the KPRK for illegally possessing a firearm, which was confiscated, the police notification said.
